Didn't update my page.. but we're getting a new car
We finalized the purchase of a 2001 Kia Rio today. Before you think it's a terrible car and Kia's are not well known, it doesn't cost a fortune. We're not picky people and didn't need a bunch of features or a super stylish car. We wanted a basic, reliable mode of transportation that we didn't have to worry about. We had a 1994 Ford Escort and we drove it each day wondering if it would work the next day. That's just not how you want it to be if you can help it. We're going to have about a $180 a month payment, but it's well worth it in the long run. As usual with anything I make a committment to do, my mom warned me heavily against it. She's used to buying a $600 and using it until it dies and she needs a new one. She'll replace the brakes, alternator, or various other things and it adds up to more than the value of the car. One strong selling point for me was the 5 year warranty with this car. If we have a problem they fix it. It's a much more cost efficient way of going about it.
Besides the new car there isn't much else to report. I sat down and figured out how much we make and the bills we have. It seems that we can make it work just fine. We have to watch our finances and pay our bills like anyone else. Well that's all for now.. until next time..
