No issues, everything's good...

Well it seems that I have a lot more to say when something's going wrong and that is true today, but I'll find things to talk about. I took a look at my web stats today and it seems that in a month where I don't access my own site much, others do. July has been the busiest month for my site. Our plans for Bar Harbor are still in place, that trip will be fun. Nothing to gripe about with Deb, at the moment. I set out to work on my page more, but stopped before I came up with anything. I need some inspiration. I have work in like 3 1/2 hours and not a whole lot to do. I need some music. There we go.. Godsmack "I Stand Alone". I'm going to go download every Sevendust, Godsmack, and Splitshift song I can find. Splitshift is a local band that used to be a Korn cover band. Look out for them, like Staind, they'll become nationwide soon. Did I ever mention that Staind was from where I live? Well they are. Now let's talk about work. Today I have work on the previously mentioned "self checkout" registers and tomorrow I start training for the service desk. No step up in pay, but in responsibility. I'll be doing lottery, western unions, cashing checks, answering phones, and solving all the problems that go wrong with customers. As a cashier I always say "go to the service desk" when something's wrong. Now I'll be on the receiving end of that. It's kind of bittersweet because I'm looking forward to it at the same time as being a little afraid of it all. As a cashier everything is no risk, no responsibility. The new job will mean that if I mess up I risk being suspended or fired for it. I'm a pretty smart guy so if I'm trained right I won't mess up, but mistakes happen. I'll just focus on the positive part and looking forward to the challenge of a new position. Well.. that's all for now. I'll try to update this more often before I'm off to Maine. --------
