Caught in a bind

I never pay attention to what Deb does on her computer, but today I noticed a sad look on her face and glanced over to see her writing in her blog. I waited and then read her blog. These things are public and she reads everything I put in this one. Anyway.. I don't want to say anything because she might get upset with me. There are things in it I'd like to address with her. For instance she mentioned not having any friends here and I'd like to tell her why. We just had a party for my birthday and she sat on the end of the couch not saying a word the whole time. She doesn't show the girls we work with that she's even interested in being their friend. Christine (the girl who went out with our friend Eddie) would probably love to go to the mall with Deb, but since she hardly said a word to her when we go out or at my birthday party Christine probably doesn't think Deb wants to be friends. I've always thought Deb needed to open herself up a little and say to a few friends at work "Hey.. if you're not busy and we're not working we should hang out" but she won't do that. All I can say is sometimes you have to make friends, they don't make themselves. Also, Deb is suffering from another bout of chronic ear pain. She has told me that they hurt all the time and there's nothing that can be done to fix it unless she gets tubes in her ears. I'm this close to telling her to get tubes. You know I can't make her feel better. She's all depressed over not having friends, she misses Florida, and with the ear pain she says (in her blog) that she feels like crying. I tried to get her to laugh a few times, successfully, but the bottom line is that I'm not a doctor. I don't think she wants to go, but how else can we solve the problem? I don't know what to do.. we'll see how it all unfolds. Until next time... --------
