Mornings suck..

I got a little sleep and woke up to do some banking today. I went to the bank and the post office. I had to mail the payment for first and last month's rent in the new place. Yeah.. I had to mention that again. Before today I had no idea how to obtain a cashier's check. I still don't think I'll ever stop my ATM banking. It's just so much easier to deposit/withdraw through a machine and not another person. I deal with enough people at work. Speaking of work I have to be there in like a half hour. It's odd that I go weeks without updating this and then write twice in the same calendar day (first was after midnight last night). Deb doesn't have work today, but I do. Yay! seriously though it should be ok.. it's the perfect customer service shift. I don't have to close or sit there doing nothing. Then again it *is* Monday so we still might be sitting there. I hope Sue's not working.. her and a few other employees think that because they smoke they can take 5 different 5-10 minute breaks and their standard break. I don't smoke and I never will.. so I think it's a tad unfair. I guess it's better than being stuck back there with her and her annoying "wannabe" voice. She's as white as wonder bread but thinks she's spanish. I thought only teens did that, but she's got to be 45+ years old. Talk about ghetto fabulous. :D lol I've never used those words before. Chris and I used to call girls "ghetto muffins" and guys like that were "hoodrats" because they always wear their hood, even indoors. Speaking of the ghetto, one of my friends is moving there. At least he wants to. That's one sure way to see that I never visit. I stay as far away from the ghetto as possible. You have to look behind you as you walk down the street and you better lock your doors if you stop at a light. The sad truth is if they have a gun all your cautious efforts are in vein. I grew up with my property getting stolen. If it wasn't our bicycles, it was our house getting robbed. If our house wasn't broken into, the car was gone. If they broke into the car and saw a crappy $20 stereo, they took it anyway! This really happened.. we put it in, they took it out for us. :) Aren't they helpful? This is why I'm moving out of town. My car insurance payment is going down over $500 a year just because I'm moving. We might even be able to leave the doors unlocked, not that we will. It's best to train yourself to lock them, so when you do go to bad neighborhoods or places you'll remember. It seems like quite a few of us are in a transition. Christine was informed that the owner of her building is selling and she has to move. He offered to help her find a place and move her stuff so that's cool. She's just so comfortable where she is. Edwin is running in place. He started off thinking of ghetto housing for next to nothing, now he's grasping onto a hope that he'll move out with his friend. He can't keep a dollar in his pocket even though he claims to make $200-$300 a week. I don't understand where it's all going, but he has to get his shit straight or he'll be homeless. He lives in the attic of his parents old run down house now, but his parents are both dead. He's awaiting the day the city throws him out and staying there until then. He's even gone so far as to say he'll sneak back in when they kick him out. Busted out windows, no heat or hot water. He goes to his overcrowded Aunt's house for a shower and a phone to use. He swore up and down he'd never go to his Aunt's, but now he has no choice. Poor guy.. I tried to help him but he's satisfied with where his life is. I don't know how. The last transition is my friend Jaime. He's with a lady with two kids and his Mom said he has to move out, her Mom said the same. They're going to get a place in the ghetto for a while. The place looks nice, but it's in the worst area. I hope it works out for him. I've got to get dressed for work. Until next time.. --------
