Three weeks and counting...
All I can really think about is moving now. It's getting closer and there are still some things I have to take care of. I got the cable situation figured out. The lady living there before us was evicted and didn't pay her other bills either. I was just thinking we might have to present the electric company with the copy of the statement from the management to get the electricity turned on, but I just remembered something. I believe when we saw the apartment there was electricity and they said we'd just have to switch the name on the account and we'd be all set. I keep reading in apartment forums how people are now paying water bills and I'm glad we don't have to. It's always been low for my Mom in her house, but I don't like having another bill to worry about.
Last night our cable internet crapped out and it's funny because we can't get any type of credit for lost service even if it was out for the rest of the month. We don't have a bill left to credit. We paid our final bill and it's getting shut off at the end of the month. No phone to shut off, we got rid of that a long time ago. Speaking of the phone, I've been talking to Brian like every night now. It's like a ritual.. he calls on his way home from his girlfriend's house and when he gets home I call him there. It's good that we're talking more, because I'll be moving closer to him and we'll be hanging out more. We were talking about how much fun we used to have when we played racquetball. One time we had four people in that tiny room and managed to play a few pretty good games. No one hit anyone with a racquet. :)
It's getting very cold around here with the daytime highs in the 20's and night time lows around 8-10 degrees Fahrenheit. That's damn nippy. :) It doesn't really bother me, but I bet Deb won't like it.
Oh, I never mentioned how I got hurt about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I was walking with the aid of a crutch for a little while. It was kind of funny when you think about what it looked like, but to this day it still hurts. Eddie and I went to Feeding Hills to catch comedy night at a bar there. I had to go to the ATM across the street to get money and as we were crossing the street it happened. We were waiting for cars to go by and one of them stopped with a few cars behind them. Anxious to get across and let them go we kind of ran across the street. On the other side I just hopped over the snowbank to land on the sidewalk, but I didn't land too great. I sprained my ankle pretty bad and could land on it so my momentum carried me into a snowbank which didn't stop me. I continued to flip down a snow covered hill and when I stopped flipping uncontrollably I slid the rest of the way. It must've looked like a stunt from that show Jackass or something. All I wanted to do was plop down in a snowbank and check out my ankle. I guess being the big guy that I am, momentum had its way with me.. for like 50 feet of snowy flipping/sliding. I'm hoping this injury heals completely by March so I can start playing tennis. The courts on the property of our new place look nice. Then there's the pool. Possibly the only one I see myself swimming in this summer. :) Well.. I'm done typing for now. Until next time..
