Detachable Penis..

..is a hilarious song. Really. I heard it on the radio the other day. I didn't hear the background music for some reason so I didn't know what he was talking about. He goes on talking about how he lost it and looked all over. He finds it being sold by someone on the street. At that point it went on to say what he was looking for. Now that I've downloaded it I hear the background constantly saying "detachable penis..". I'm sure I've grossed out a few people, ah well. A sense of humor is only one key to sanity. Without it I know I'd be up a wall. As far as the usual daily grind, there are a few developments. Deb is actively seeking full time at the place we work part time. She wants to do a job working in a department, I prefer working with people. As far as my job situation goes I have a few faxes to send today (Tues.) and a job fair to go to on Thursday. It's probably the best possible job I could get. It's for a wireless phone carrier I like a lot. I use their service as our primary home phone and literally help people when I go in to pay a bill or get some assistance myself. The job requires me to have a more polished appearance, but I can do it. So long as I don't need a suit. If only these people could hear the comments I get from my family and wife. They think it would be perfect for a lot of obvious reasons. When I was a kid I was always fascinated by wireless communication. I didn't have a cell phone at a young age, but we found ways to communicate without wires. I got into CBs (citizens band radio) and walkie talkies of all sorts. We constantly tweaked the antennas on them to get the most distance. We figured in obstacles and even weather. On overcast days CBs work exceptionally well. The signal is more apt to bounce off the atmosphere (or is it stratosphere) and reach its destination quicker and more efficiently on cloudy days. I learned all this from books. Practical experience helps too. We could hear "skip" or long distance interference on overcast days. Sometimes as far away as Texas. You could never talk to them, but you could hear them. From all that I progressed into a knowledge of cell phones. Most people don't think of the coverage or technologies behind their wireless carrier, but I do. Verizon uses CDMA, and others use a variant of TDMA (be it GSM or iDen). I prefer CDMA and Verizon because of the analog backup. That'll be the only tough sell for me as a wireless salesperson. Selling "digital only" to people. It's the "new wave" but it cuts out a fair portion of rural areas without digital coverage. I suppose if you just stay in the city it's ok. Alright.. I've rambled on enough. You can see why dealing in wireless phones would be my thing.. until tomorrow.. --------
