Day off today..
I have today off, and I'm just lounging around the house. Yesterday turned out to be a pretty good day. Before work I stopped by my Mom's house and my Uncle drove by and saw us on the porch. I thought he left that morning. We went across the street and had a few beers before I went to work. If I had to choose a day to go into work after having some drinks, Sunday would be the day. There are no significant bosses there at all. Only had one minor incident, but it wasn't the beers fault. :) This old lady comes to the counter and shows me two kinds of Dannon yogurt. She says she meant to get the regular and not the cream one. Often a customer will go back and get the right one and attempt to exchange. Thinking that was the case I told her she could exchange it. Lo and behold that wasn't the case. It seems she shopped on two occasions and had purchased the wrong ones, thus wanting a refund. I couldn't understand the poor crippled old lady, but my co-worker did and proceeded to get a bit loud with me. That was a little upsetting in itself, but no big deal. After that everything was fine the rest of the night.
I keep finding myself doing a "friend status check" as I have less now than ever. Most, if not all of the cases involve a girlfriend of a friend. I don't get along with Brian's girlfriend or Chris'. This may seem like it's me, but these two cases are extreme. Brian's girlfriend (or ex depending on the minute) is just too immature. Chris' girlfriend airs their relationship troubles in front of Deb and I in public or anywhere else she wants. I've tried to clue Chris in, but in the end he'll do whatever he wants. Jaime's problems are more unknown and behind the scenes, but still affect the friendship in that there's no contact outside of work. This will be a problem when later in August we're not working together anymore. Ah well.. I'm sure I can think of other things to worry about.. until tomorrow..
