Time for Plan B..
Ok.. so there's really no plan B, but I've come up with one today. I worked Arrow Security for 3 months back in Feb and another security company is hiring now. As long as you can pass a criminal background check and a drug test you're all set. I can easily pass both. Their office is located close to here, I don't even have to get on the highway technically. I'll take full time from these people, with benefits. I've come to the sad conclusion that if these other people don't ever call back or call to check my personal references they don't want to hire me. I put so much into things that I convince myself that they do want to hire me. No point in fooling myself any longer. Time to move on.
I've been working a lot of hours with the part time job, and that's good because I'll be able to pay bills. I can't rely on that forever. It's really just a summer rush of hours. They stupidly scheduled a bunch of people when they're on vacation, so they have a lot of shifts unfilled. I take them and they take me for granted. No 'thank you', none of those stupid little "stars" they give you. Nothing. They'll learn. When I quit, when others quit.. they'll learn. I've got to end this soon and go down to that office.
All along I've been shying away from the whole security thing because I don't want to be wearing the funny fake-cop uniform forever. I've realized it won't be forever.. just until I find a better job. Deb has work today at 5 and I go in for 6 so I have to go and get things done. I may end up working third shift for this company. I just hope it's not one of those jobs walking in downtown Springfield at night around the clubs. What kind of pea-brained idiot would do that? Not me.. that's for sure. Not without a gun. It's only fair.. the criminals have them, I want one too. :) I'd never shoot anyone unless they deserved it.
Ok.. last part, I swear. It's getting close to 2 PM now. The days have been a lot more comfortable now than earlier this summer. I can deal with 77. Oh, and related to that.. there's a nifty little program I use that sits in the bottom right with the temperature. It gets it from The Weather Channel. The program is called Weather Watcher. Click on the name to go to the download section. It's small and very neat. How else would I always know the temp outside while sitting at my computer? :) Alright.. I'm out of here.. until tomorrow!
