Out on the floor..

Today we got our cubicles on the call center floor. It's really no different except that you get a little more privacy and space. I'm learning to deal with thick accents now that I take a lot of calls from people who have them. Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Indian, and many more. There are even quite a few thick southern accents out there that can be tough. I guess it's all part of the job. I like the job, and it goes by nice and fast. Today our trainer listened in on my call and called me during it. I put my caller on hold and took the call asked what I did wrong and he said nothing. He said that I'm doing really good and I have good customer service skills. Not to be arrogant, but I already knew this. It is perhaps my best asset. I'm truly a people person in every way. Now that I'm getting into VoIP more with FWD and Packet8, I've been looking at other hardware and possibly even hardware solutions to use with FWD. Ideally I'd like to set FWD with hardware or at least a more functional software program. I've considered X-Lite Pro, but it costs $50. That's where I find myself asking "How much is this hobby worth?". I'm afraid not $50 at this point in my financial life. Maybe sometime later. I've downloaded various different cheesy SIP software clients that always looked awful and most likely wouldn't work with FWD. I'll keep looking. I'm going to end this.. if anyone has any ideas, click that e-mail link and send it on! Until tomorrow.. --------
