Got a cell phone? I thought so. Here are some links.
It seems that everyone has a cell phone these days. Through my use of the internet and of cell phones I've found a lot of interesting sites. I'm going to share some of those today. The first is one I go to quite often and it's full of resources about whatever you may need. The site is HowardForums.com. You can go to the forum for your phone's manufacturer, your service provider, or any of the other forums if they interest you. In my case I use Verizon and because of my upcoming employment I've been keeping my finger on the pulse of the users in the Cingular forum.
Now another interesting site will give you an idea about the dominant cell phone technology in the world today and coverage in other countries. That technology is GSM and the site with all the maps is GSM World. That link is to their "roaming" area, showing the maps of a large list of countries. Most of these countries are ahead of the US. Often their coverage even extends out to sea a bit. I guess the boating types like to have cell service too. :)
Now the last site is one that if you subscribe costs a lot of money, but they do offer nice little news capsules for free. These news stories are from all over and are very interesting, to me at least. This site is the CTIA's (Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association) World of Wireless Communications. It gives me a daily dose (weekdays only) of wireless news from around the world.
That's all for the links today, but I'll share more tomorrow. Or maybe I'll share some pictures, you'll see. No matter what.. it will be different. :) Until tomorrow..
