Just as good as I'd hoped..

I've never worked at such a new place before. They have all 19" flat screen LCD monitors throughout all the training rooms and on the call center floor. They allow web surfing on breaks, lunches, and before or after your shift. You do your own HR changes and direct deposit by accessing the company intranet. Everything is just so far above and beyond what I expected. With my last job I trained on a Windows 3.1 machine with no internet access. I shared a computer/desk with a co-worker at my last job and it sucked. Here we get our own desk and computer. I'm sure that will change over time, but I'll gain more seniority over time too. We even get an e-mail account we can use personally as well, as long as we don't mess with it during company time. The usual monitoring applies as with any call center. Aside from that, obviously nothing else is going on. Brian called me today. He told me he kept up with me through my blog, so that's good. At least he's keeping up with me. He got that free sample of OB tampons I sent him. You're welcome Brian. :) Besides from the usual free condoms and lubricant I usually send him, I decided to send him some nice women's products. They came in this little case and he had no clue what it was at first. :) It would be nice to hear from Chris sometime, but now that I'm working I'm sure the chances will be even less.
