Late Christmas present = Cable internet!

The day before I start my new job I will be getting cable internet installed in this house. I will be paying $20 for each of the first three months and $43 each month after that. I feel bad because I'd like to let Deb's Mom use it, but it presents a few issues. First of all, Deb's Mom is paying for an extra line for the computer to dial up with. Second, she is paying for Juno dialup as well. If I introduce her to cable she'll be paying for those two things for nothing. She wouldn't be able to cancel them, because we're moving after several months and I'm sure she wouldn't keep cable. That and Deb thinks (I somewhat agree) that it would be wrong to get her used to cable only to downgrade to dialup when we leave. I don't care, as long as I get that fat 3300/256 pipe in this house soon. :) Christmas around here will be full of children and hopefully good food. Thanksgiving was nice, but not my type of food at all. The way I look at it.. we've got nowhere to go but up! I hear my Mother in law may be making mashed potatoes and I'll be happy if it's true. If she doesn't, I will make them myself. How hard can it be? We've had them at every major meal up north and regular meals too, but not on Thanksgiving here. I want some shepherd's pie like my Mom used to make it. Mashed potatoes, very lightly browned with butter on the top. Beneath that was corn, and on the bottom was ground beef. There are many different recipes online for this, but it's very easy to make. I prefer it the plain and simple way, no extras in it at all. :) I'm hungry.. until tomorrow.. --------
