The first crappy Monday..

Today wasn't too bad at work, but it was probably the worst so far. That's really because every other day was very good. The heat is killing me, it's after 8 PM and it's still 72 degrees in January. At this point I'd rather have the snow and cold weather. I have no problems breathing inside when it's cold out, unless Deb puts the heat at 80. We took our second major test today and I got 100 on it. I would be all happy about it, but it was easy. We listened in on rep's calls today. The rep I sat with was pretty good. She just had this "eye contact" thing that bothered me. She went out of her way to make eye contact when she spoke to me. It really bugged me out and I found myself purposely looking away. I don't mind eye contact when speaking, but she had other things she could look at. Other than that she was pretty good at her job. Although they tend to try a little harder when a trainee is listening in. The big issue brought up in the classroom by all of us was how no one on the floor seemed to do their job. It seems like these people just want to show up and collect the check, but not actually do their job correctly. I know it's hard to be motivated in the monotonous, cubicle dominated work environment a call center provides. I think my motivation will be these slackers, just watching them makes me want to do a better job. I'm tired today and really quite hot and bothered, so I'm done. Until tomorrow.. --------
