The day everything just flowed..

On my first break today I happened to see our manager so I asked about our seats. She pointed out where we were all sitting and I had my choice of whichever seat I wanted. I chose a nice window seat off in the corner. It's a huge desk that actually has a key to the lock of the drawer (a lot of them don't for whatever reason). That just made my day, knowing my seat was reserved and that I'd be moving there whenever that was. It just so happened I was back early from lunch and my manager said I could move to my seat anytime. I moved then and there, spending the rest of the night in my window seat with a view of the pond in the back of the building (where I spend my lunches). I know I make a big deal about where I'm sitting, but my previous seat was by the elevator and it was not a good place to be and try to talk on the phone. Also keep in mind that we're all in these sectioned off cubicles and where you sit can make a huge difference. I don't have people to the left and right of me adding interference to my job. Also factor in the fact that I'm not the most senior person on my team, just the one who was in the right place at the right time and took advantage of my opportunities. Alright, on to the rest of the night. The end of the night at work flew by and was overall a very successful day (15 takes). I got in my car, and I usually have no idea where it's parked. I end up in a different area each day, I take what's available. I get in the car and my AM sports talk radio is on by default of course (930 the Fox, Jax). They sometimes play Florida Gators games or other national games. This particular night I was hurrying home to catch the biggest rivalry in college basketball. My Duke Blue Devils vs. UNC. It just happened to be on the radio. I listened to it all the way home, went straight to the tv when I got in the door. It went to overtime, but Duke won. What a night! --------
