Happy Easter!

Since this blog is all about my ranting and raving, let me get something off my chest. My brother called tonight to say "Happy Easter" and it ended up being an argument. I could tell you this is how it always ends up, but really it hasn't been like that lately. It started out very innocently, but when the topic came to my job I should've just lied. In the past I've found it's easier to just tell him what he wants to hear. Tell him, "Yes, I'm still doing the warehouse job that has me cleaning toilets. Yes I like this job a lot." and leave it at that. Any time I tell him I made a decision and why I did it, it doesn't matter. Instead of saying, "Well, that's your decision" he tells me why it was wrong. Even if it clearly isn't. Keeping a job for a few days that is clearly "trying me out" and deciding to go with one that will pay more is wrong, of course. I'll decide that, thank you very much. I know I've gone through jobs quickly lately. I know I've found reasons why each one was wrong, but that's my perogative. I will do what I feel is best. Never will that be not working. I know I have to work, but I have a choice where. If I'm not happy and I have another choice, I'll do what I decide is best for me. I know my brother has his opinions and thinks he can voice them whenever I bring the topic up, but I don't want to hear negative comments. Not now, not ever. I don't spit negative comments in his face about the way he chooses to live his life, I don't want that from him or anyone. The only person I have to look in the mirror at every day is me. Aside from that, Easter was good. We had turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, stuffing, and rolls. It was a nice, simple meal for three. The 9-10 pound bird will make good sandwiches for a long time. Brian just called and I'm going by his house in a few minutes to fix his computer. There's a missing/corrupted file and I've found that replacing it in DOS (from a floppy) after using a boot disk works. That is if it's the only messed up file. Hopefully if there are other files, his Mom's new computer is running XP as well. Then I'm sure if his Mom's comp messes up they'll blame me because I went and copied a file from it. He's coming by soon so I better get ready. Until tomorrow.. --------
