Life flashing before my eyes..

I know the title is a bit dramatic, but what happened early this morning was frightening. Driving home from work I was at an intersection that I make a left at. To the left is a curve and a hill, hard to see traffic to that side. I had looked left first, then right and began to proceed. I know I should've looked the other way around, but there's very little traffic at 3 AM. Just as I let off the brake an eighteen wheeler flies by me at no less than 50 MPH. I can't help but think if I had accelerated at a quick rate I would not be typing this today. Perhaps it was my mistake, luckily it wasn't really a close call because I never actually accelerated into the intersection. It still makes you think about how it could've gone differently. I'd much rather be alive. Things here are going very good. We're rolling right along with Deb working about 30 hours and I'm working 40. As far as I know this schedule is permanent and I've been looking for something during the day as well. I'm starting to actually go to bed when I get home now. If not then, I go to bed about an hour afterwards. Deb feels at home with all her friends at work and they're always asking us to go out with them. I play basketball with Chris a lot. Brian and I hang out every once in a while. I'd like to establish a Thursday night out with those guys. Right now we go whenever it's convenient for everyone. I imagine once we have some spending money Deb and I will go play pool like we used to. I'll beat her at it like I used to. :) I think if I ever got in a league it would be a pool league with Jaime. He's a pool shark and I'm still learning. Alright.. until tomorrow.. --------
