Odd turn of events..

Out of nowhere Deb has a job interview tomorrow with Home Depot. We both applied and apparently they liked her application more. I'm going for a job somewhere I had previously worked. It was not a bad job, but working Stop & Shop at the same time interfered with it. I may just end up with a piece of cake job that pays more than what I have been doing. I know.. I'm never satisfied, but why clean out toilets if you don't have to? I know when all is said and done we'll both be better off than we were in Florida. In unrelated news a good friend of my family has passed away. He was a bartender at our little local pub that my Mom has been a patron of for 20+ years. In more recent times he stopped being a bartender because of being sick, but he was a regular there. My friends from S&S frequent there and knew him as well. I handle death pretty well, but I haven't had too many people close to me die. I knew this guy pretty well and liked him, but we weren't too incredibly close. That being said I would still like to attend the funeral if at all possible. He always went out of his way to try and help me, including giving me a summer job once. A day without a negative comment. Isn't that something? I appreciate the fact that I have visitors like family and friends, but I'm not a big fan of criticism about my life. I may not do what everyone else would do, but I'm going to do what's best for me and my growing family. Sometimes I take chances and they don't work out well at first, but everything will be fine.
