iTunes.. Gmail.. etc..
I saw on tv that iTunes 4.5 was recently released and it's a free download so I got it. The main reason I got it was that I saw there was a way to see the playlists of many radio stations in many cities. The reason they put that info up is so you'll buy a song for about $1 each. I got it so I could see exact song titles of songs on the radio. It comes in handy for the pop station my Mom listens to at work. She said she wanted a cd made, but she never knows the song titles. This way it's all there, easy to find. A pleasant feature I found is a great streaming radio player that takes up very little space but tells me what song/artist is playing. No commercials and very good quality audio.
Not too long ago Google came out with free webmail called Gmail. It started out in testing by a few people and later it became open to Blogger users (Google bought Blogger). Since I'm obviously a Blogger user I decided to give it a try. It's main selling point is that it offers 1 GB of storage space. Apparently their feeling is that you shouldn't delete old e-mail to save space, instead archive it and use their superior searching tools to find individual e-mails. There has been some controversy because when reading e-mail you do see a few four line text ads. That alone isn't the issue, but how these ads are generated. They're generated by the content of your e-mails. It's all automated, but people still feel as if their e-mail is being read by a person. I can understand the privacy concerns, but I'm not worried.
The Yankees have today off, but the Red Sox are playing. The Sox are up by 1.5 games and today's game will just make it an even amount of games. Curt Schilling is pitching for them, but nothing is automatic. Certainly not Pedro. :) I'll be a Cleveland Indians fan for a few games against the stanky Sox. Alright, a couple days of work and then I have those two days off I look forward to each week. Not that my job is all that difficult, but still. Until tomorrow..
