Doing what needs to be done..

A short while ago I got a call saying I "passed" the interview process for that other security position. I also passed their drug & alcohol screening. Neither are much of a surprise to me. The last guy I interviewed with made it seem as if there were many more applicants than positions so some may not make it. While waiting to hear from them for a few days I'd become more and more disenchanted with the very idea of this job. The fact of the matter is that I need to work, regardless of where it is or what I'll be doing. The days of being picky and wanting a certain job are over. In a few short weeks I'll have a new child and I need to think of her, not myself. On another note I thought of what I'd like to do someday as a vocation. That is bartending. I just thought about all aspects of that job and realized I'd like all of them. Sure, there are times when you'd have to play babysitter and cut people off but other than that it would be good. I really don't drink much so I wouldn't become an alcoholic because of being around it all. I'd have to learn to mix drinks, but it seems like that wouldn't be too difficult to learn. I'm already a good people person. The job is in demand very much in this area and that is something that even college graduates don't always have the luxury of. Not wanting to sit idly by waiting for an answer back from this other security job I decided to go apply for a Host/Bartender position at a local Bar/Restaurant that will be opening soon. Hearing from Chris that no experience is required for the Bartender position I thought it would be worth a shot. They interviewed all on the spot and I talked like crazy. I guess that's just how I am. :) Until tomorrow.. --------
